A while back I had asked about molting, well it turned out to be a case of feather picking. We had a pair together with a female they had hatched out and two males they had also hatched in a cage next to them. Well the male ate all the feathers off his mate, Missy quail, and the young girl. So I removed the young one to a separated cage. When missy quails feathers began growing in he ate them again along with more. So I thought maybe it was being close to the boys that was stessing him so I put a divider so they can't see each other and removed Missy to a separated tank. Then last night Missy quail, who is super friendly and likes being handled flew out of my sons hand and injured her leg or foot. Last night she was dragging it, now it is just curled and she hops on one foot. Any ideas on the likely hood of recover? Any hope of her going back in with her mate in the future?
