My poor Daisy was murdered :'( Re-candeled egg... FERTILE yeeessssssss

lol hiya everyone... well Blossom (Daisy 2) is doing great nearly 5 weeks old now... and growing so fast.. sadly one of the other chicks has got wry neck, started yesterday, and was just a slight tilt.. But today it has gotten rather bad, sometimes it seems to be fine, with a slight tilt, then it is spinning in circles with its head upside down.. I think my DB will have to cull when he gets in from work, as I cant watch it suffer

Anyway on a lighter note here are some pictures of Blossom (Daisy 2) and the others that I have just taken......

Really hard to get a great picture, as I have to open the door to their run to be able to do it, and they make a run for the garden, then get really excited, which brings all the other hens over, and be being a very protective mummy, I chase the big hens off so they cannot hurt the little uns (which dont work, they just scoot around me.. Fun times had by all)

They are growing sooo quick.. I dont know it was the smallest of the lot.. So maybe it got stamped on or pecked at by the others, They are still on chick crumb, and have plenty of greens in their diet, out all day, and in at night.. It is sad, I hate having to cull any

The others are growing bigger everyday.. They will soon be moving outside permenantly.. How scared will I be then lol.

ohhh I am sorry about your beautiful Daisey.....

darn dumb ol dog. I hope the egg is fertil, and you get a new lil wild flower.

Sorry about the chick with the neck problem. I guess chicken rearing teaches us that sometimes we just have to let go. It's so sad.

On the upside, so glad to see Daisy #2 is thriving. All of your chicks are just adorable!

It is sad at times raising chickens, I hate it when one gets ill, or has to be culled, but its the best for the chicken in the long run..)
