Thats what I am wondering boondachs. Could she not of got tangled in wire or something? And just because you have a dog fence, doesnt mean your dog couldnt have got out and left your property. I believe all gtrapping seasons with snares are closed now in MO, so....either someone is poaching (maybe on your land or maybe someone elses) or else it wasn't a snare.

How awful for poor Hope. You're right in that she will adjust to having 3 legs but it's still a trauma. I hope you are able to have more closure on this. It's awful to think of someone coming onto your property and setting a trap.
