My poor little baby

Thank you all. It feels good to know someone understands. Who knew they could get sick that easy? I've had dogs all my life. We raise blue ticks, but they only get sick once in a blue moon. But for some reason, I am so attached to these chickens. (my children are grown and out of the home - maybe I'm substituting these chickens for something to take care of instead). I get up in the middle of the night because I don't sleep much. I am now finding myself walking out to the coop just to check on everyone. lol And I named them. My husband said if I hadn't named them, I wouldn't have been so attached.

I need a chicken for dummies book.

This is my man. Plymouth follows me and the pitt bull around every afternoon as we feed all the animals. He's guarding me. The only time he leaves me is when one of the girls sqwauuuuuuuukkk. He'll go running to see if he needs to take care of them. If my husband would let me, he'd come inside with the dog. lol He sits on my shoulder and whispers in my ear. My husband has a video where he keeps nuzzling my neck like he's hugging me. I love these guys. We have them for pets. Getting eggs was just a bonus. But I don't know about diseases. I'm afraid I'm going to hurt them before I figure this whole "chicken" thing out.
