If they don't mess with it I would. Since it isn't on her feet it will be easier to keep clean once you open it by using sterile bandage and vet wrap. Then if anyone mess with that you may have to keep her separated till it closes up. They heal so well it wouldn't take long. Call around and see who has the colorless here CVS and our closest Walmart carries it. Once you open it have something like triple antibiotic salve to put on it then cover. Nothing with pain relief in it.

If she's had a lump there since she was young I might think that it could be hard pus from possibly not absorbing it's yolk completely. Either way, it's time for the vet. If the mass originated in the abdominal cavity it could cause serious complications trying to remove it. Is there any way you could get someone to hold her really still so you could get some really clear pictures of it?

Update on Uno!!

She is doing much better. Just removed the scab to make sure there was no infection, but was already healing nicely. Cleaned her up real nice and wrapped it for a day.



The scab was just some kind of scratch or injury she got and may have picked at. Not going to mess with the actual lump unless it starts to bother her or affect her walking. May cause more harm than good at this point. She doesn't know she has a lump

Just wanted to say thank you for all the advice and can't get enough of all this duck love!!

Oh and she absolutely loved her private, warm, epsom said baths. She would actually jump back out of the pen when I put them away at night and try to follow me inside like "I'm ready for my bath and tv time"! She's such a sweet heart
