my pullet laid a wierd egg. it is looong and wrinkly on the small end. why?

Nothing to worry about. We kinda expect "store egg carton" eggs when we get started with chickens, completely forgetting that the ones we'll see daily in our chicken coops are the ones that DIDN'T make it into the carton at the production facility.

Curious as to what the wrinkle area is, my leghorns eggs are like so but not as much. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about but would like know know what causes this.

One of mine lays eggs like that, with the occasional wrinkles, but usually just "bullet" shaped.

This is our biggest egg so far largest and weighing in at almost 3 oz!! We have 2 pullets that are laying, So I wondered if she had any "difficulty" laying this one. They seem to get gradually larger day to day. We have 7 more pullets to go... I wonder how will we know when someone new starts laying...probably we will see itty bitty eggs again?
