I'm now hearing crowing in my coop-they're 3 months old and someone's causing raucus and crowing in there. Do I have a rooster?

PICs would help

Well, the basic answer is "yes". Next question is how many roos do you have in there?

Put pics on a thread over in the What Breed or Gender is This section if you can. Everyone loves to guess...

Well that's the problem-I have 7 breeds and no one is quite standing out yet.I am suspicious of a light brahama, as it has more of a comb coming in. I'll do some evaluations and get some pics and post up.
THANKS!

It sounds like you will have to waste some time and just sit around watching them

It will be a fun and relaxing investigation !!

99.9% of the time at that age, if you hear crowing, you've got a rooster.

I've also had hens try to crow... and they got re- homed.

i would agree u probably have a roo, on the other hand the crow is an important part of the flock and some hens may crow, and even mount the others if no roo is present, what breeds do have?

Well, we have light and dark brahamas, jersy giants, australorps, buff orpingtons, silver wyandotts and one barred rock-which I know is a pullet.
Did a little investigating and think I have not 1 but 2 roosters! I may be back with photos!
