I have 4 Golden Buff pullets at 6 weeks old and i've started introducing them to small amounts of foods other than their chick starter. They have no interest though; should they? They love scratching around for their starter food and occasionally will peck at grasses in their run. Is this okay and should I just be happy that they eat their starter very well and are very healthy?

PS: I can't believe how big they are at 6 weeks.

They don’t have any adults to teach them how or what to eat so they have to learn it on their own. Some broods learn really quickly and will eat about anything. I’ve had adults turn up their noses at treats that most chickens like if they are not used to it. Just be patient. Eventually one will probably try it, then the others will see that it is OK and will try it to. Then you will probably see games of keep-away. Each flock operates under its own dynamics.
