DO A LOT OF RESEARCH! They are best in pairs, They are IMPOSSIBLE to house break. Most will not go outside in bad weather. I love mine to pieces but they are very frustrating, especially the house breaking. We can be outside on a windy day for a half hour and then come inside and they will poop in the floor. It just kills me! So it is something to really think about before getting them. If you do not get yours from a rescue group find a reputable breeder. Ask to see the breeding facilities, the breeding stock and ask for references. I got mine from a wonderful breeder in Missouri (she is no longer breeding the Italian Greyhounds). She was wonderful and my dogs are very sound and healthy. I have seen IG's that are frail and twiggy. They make me nervous because their little bones look like they will snap in half. Monte and Margo are very well built with substantial legs. They are cool little dogs that will love you until the day they die not matter what!
Here is another photo of them.
