My hubby told me yesterday that someone offered to help me get started in quail. He knows how much I love to put eggs in the bator. Too much! Way to many chickens right now. Anyway, this person offered to give me a brooder for quail and some eggs to get me started. I have a brooder for my chicks but it's full (all 3 levels), of course, and it's borrowed, of course. So, I'm going to go ahead and get the brooder on Monday, but wait until later for the eggs. School is starting and I have too much going on. Did I mention that this was my first time incubating chickens? Just started about 4 weeks ago. Went on a crazy spree and bought 3 incubators because when I would order eggs people would send extras (sometimes several). I now have over 60 chickens!!!

My problem is I have a hard time culling. So, I try to have a rehab center in my living room. I have 3 in rehab right now. That's what I'm scared of. I have advertised some of my bantam mixes for sale. Oh...I had to add a few ducks in there too. I tried to add some turkey but that didn't quite work out. Maybe next time.

This is going to be interesting.
