What incubator?I have 9 quail eggs in an incubator - sadly the other 15 were infertile.
It has now been over 17 days and still no pipping should I be worried?
I increased humidity to 65% on day 14 and temperature has been stable throughout at 37.5 degrees C.
Just FYI, but this thread is over two years old.The same thing is happening to me right now. When I candled them before putting them into lockdown they were alive and moving inside their eggs. Did these end up hatching? I’m worried if I candle them again it will hurt them.
Thanks! I thought it was a bit old but not THAT old. 2 of them have hatched now and another has pipped, but the other two aren't pipping internally or externallyJust FYI, but this thread is over two years old.
Don't worry too much yet, especially if it's day 17. If your temperature was a bit low, they may be late to hatch. It won't hurt to candle a few of them as long as you're reasonably quick.
It sounds like your temperature was a bit low. Give them a couple more days before giving up on them! Thanks! I thought it was a bit old but not THAT old. 2 of them have hatched now and another has pipped, but the other two aren't pipping internally or externally
