my quail hate me!!

She or he won't let me hold her. Just jumps out of my hand what's wrong!! She tried escaping the yard a few times too. And the cage. What can I do. To make them calm. :0 it's living with the baby chicks since they r all babys. They seem fine. It's always running and I don't like that thanksssd

No they dont like being touched but something that would help is to offer treats like mealworms i used to feed mine by hand and they got to where theyd let you touch them more and more.
