My quail stop laying now.

This is my first year to raise quails. They are contrix quail. I have 10 hens and 3 roostors. They are seperated in 3 pens, 1 roo with 3/4 hens. They used to laying crazy in spring and ealry summer. While now, I only get 3 eggs every day. Any way I can do to encourage them laying more? Thannk you.

It's most likely the heat. Mine are taking a bit of a breather now. It happens

Ideal laying temps for coturnix is 45-55 deg. F.. Once you get through the late summer....you have fall to look forward to. It's a marathon, not a sprint!

vit c in the water helps with dealing with the heat, as well as egg production

i put 1 500mg tablet(crushed up) in 26oz of water
