my quail's head is bleeding:(

i was adding food to my quail's feeder and watering them (etc..) and one of my quail wouldn't stop flushing and her head started bleeding. i have a ointment that is supposed to make the roosters stop picking on her, and it helps heal her head a little, but i don't know if putting it on would stress her a bunch. we also clipped her wings but i don't think it affected her when she flushes. i don't want her to get hurt! what do i do?

Put the ointment on. If she seems fine otherwise, you could probably leave her alone after that, but if she seems more injured that you first thought, you may want to isolate her in a warm place. Birds need warmth to heal.

thank you. i will take a look and see if the others are picking on her.
it is sprinkling off and on, its about 41 ish degrees. should i put her inside anyway?

no one is picking on her. we will put the ointment on shorty. (she is to skittish for me to do it without a helper)

I would. If she seems really stressed being inside, you can put her back out with her companions. Each bird is different, but you'll know how to proceed based on how she behaves.
