Dumb me, I used a piece of Styrofoam to lift her feeder up to the level of her litter box. It was in a back corner, under the feed dishes, and I didn't think she would get to it. That was a huge mistake. I think she ate about 1-2", or 3-5 bites? I'm not entirely sure how much. Some of it was in crumbles on the ground. I feel terrible! Google said to feed high fiber? Can that be helpful? I know rabbits can get GI blockages, and I'm not sure if vet care is an option for us. Anything I can do? Thank you so much everyone, I really hope she'll be okay. 😣

This has happened to me with a styrofoam cooler. I brought it in and left it in the lower foyer without thinking about it. When I came back downstairs, my rabbit Oreo had eaten quite a bit of it. He passed it and did not have any issues after luckily. I didn’t have to take him in to the vet.

Hope your rabbit doesn’t have any issues from it. Best of luck. :)

I would think she'll be okay, just keep an eye on her poo to make sure everything is moving along. She likely didn't eat enough to create a blockage, it'd have to be a good amount.

Thank you! I did read that since they chew so much, they should be able to pass it. Thank you for the reassurance, I appreciate it. I'm glad they have such strong stomachs.
Rabbits know how to scare us don't they?

Urgh rabbits - nothing is safe from them. Mine ate the foam (and the fabric) from a couch cushion so I made him some very very weak decaffeinated tea - since he loves it but isn’t allowed to have it - just to make sure he got a big dose of fluids. He’s fine. I think sometimes they just like to frighten us.
Oh good! This is very reassuring. Thank you so much for this post. Glad you boy was okay. I'll make sure to keep her water bowl extra full. Thanks everyone so much!

I've had rabbits chew on/eat my foam shoes. They were fine...both my shoes and the rabbits. 😄
Wow! Thats crazy! Aspen definitely isn't have any blockage issues, she had a point to show me she was fine by pooping all over her enclosure this morning. 😂
Rabbits are hilarious! I'm glad yours were okay.
