I really like the look of the lattice- how predator proof is it? I have a family of raccoons around so would need to know if it could survive a raccoon attack.

Hardware cloth should go behind lattice work, trust me.

I screwed in the lattice every 4 inches or so but I probably should have put hardware cloth behind it too just for reaching through the holes but they don't sleep downstairs at all, it is just for during the day. It is plastic lattice, so just rinse clean and it looks new again.
I don't know how fast it could be chewed through, but with the number of screws I put into it, I don't think they could tear it off. It would be faster for critters to dig underneath the stones I think.
