My Review and Experience with Denagard as a Treatment for Mycoplasma.

I didn't add anything to their water, but in the future I will. I noticed they had an aversion to it on the first day and would rather drink the water from my pond. So I just left them in the coop during their treatment.

Denagard is very VERY bitter. We mix a stock solution of Denagard and water, and then mix two TBSP of that per gallon of drinking water. To each gallon, I also add 1/2 cup Karo syrup, and 1 1/2 C unsweetened fruit juice, usually apple juice. Denagard does keep MS/MG at bay usually, but we have had two old roosters over the past few years who ended up with MS symptoms: lameness and swollen joints; despite regular preventative doses.

My experience with Denagard has been very positive.

I dosed at 16 ml per gallon of water for 5 days. Total birds treated : 16 . Not all showed symptoms of upper respiratory, but most had at least a sneeze. Some had coughing. Four had sneezing, rattly breathing, and one had that in addition to very swollen nasal passages around the eyes with yellow discharge. ………………………………….

Everyone is now completely healthy.

I hope someone finds this review informative.

Thank you for sharing your positive results. Did you draw up the 16 ml with a syringe?
