My rooster had bumble foot I have been treating it with a prid it is a natural
drawing salve ..his foot was so swollen
I have been treating it with prid and the middle toe was turning black in the last
Treatment it fell off the other toe is still swollen and as i was cleaning the dead
Skin off of it i just found out why the toe is so swollen.. the bone is broken
And it is a compound fracture...as i soaked the foot in Epson salt trying to
Get the swelling down and every two
Days I have been mixing some antibiotics with water and he is getting
Better....I don't understand why that other lady put her hen down with a foot
Problem..I have a rooster with one leg
His is happy and doing great even with one leg.... I will keep soaking this toe
Until natural resources set in and it falls off ... He will still have a good quality of life ......

Most people put them down to stop their suffering. I personally wouldn't keep a one legged chicken nor let it get that far before culling. Good you can take care of yours.
