MY ROOSTER HAS A BUMP

My year old roo has a rooster collar and all has been fine until now. He has a large bump or boil on the top of the collar. Is this an infection disease of bruise? Help me please!

Can you post a photo of the lump?

Without seeing it, I would suspect the collar has rubbed a place on his neck(?) With photos and more information we may be able to give you some suggestions about how to take care of that.

Are the bumps where the collar were hitting his throat? The collar may be rubbing or pinching the skin creating sores.
I would leave the collar off, cleanse the bumps with saline or diluted betadine, then apply triple antibiotic ointment, Vetericyn or BluKote.
