My rooster has a leak(?)

So, i have this RIR cockerel who is pretty submissive to me, but every so often get gets pretty... annoyed? I don't exactly know what's going through his mind but sometimes when i'm especially close and he's thinking about being naughty, or he's just been disciplined he makes this whining sound... like a leak in a water raft, i've never heard a chicken make that kind of noise!

Does anyone else have roosters that do that?? I'm so curious!

Mine always did that too after I...'diciplined' them. It aways sounds like they're annoyed and complaining. I have some hens that will do it, too. One of my 3 month old pullets will make this same sound when she is in isolation or wants attention.

I've got one that I'm currently working with....and whenever I give him what-for, he does that sound. I think it's his way of saying, "okay, I give!"

My roo is doing this when I go to the coop with diferent T-shirt or pents.I think he do not recognased me and try to protect the flock.

Glad to know i don't have the only leaky rooster! It's such a funny sound, it feels like he's sticking his tongue out at me when he does it.
