My rooster hates me :-(

I'd had my rooster 3 years before he became aggressive this past summer but because I trained him at an early age to never approach me unless I was giving him treats he never got close enough to actually attack me.Never turn your back on a rooster
He got me in the back yesterday, thank god my winter coat is thick

He needs put down..plenty of good roosters in the world..he is a risk to everyone now..he is people aggressive..just like dog aggression this is very serious! Just put him down or have someone else do it in a gentle manner..I mean what are you trying to prove keeping a mean rooster? He isn't going to be a good leader for your flock and he is only going to injure you or someone else!

You live in a rural area and bought your chicks from the farmer’s union (co-op?)

This means that there are people in your area who are able to dispatch your cockerel, even though you may not know them now.

I’d ask the staff where you bought them for names of those who might help. They also might have a bulletin board where you could ask for help, etc.

You have to do this now before someone is seriously hurt. Blinded, even. Start your New Year with a peaceful flock.

I am not trying to prove anything, I had hope he would change, he went to the Amish yesterday

I'm replacing my rooster with one of the baby cockerels my broody hen raised this summer. I keep a mixture of vinegar water in a spray bottle to soak him with in case he decides to block my path again or attacks me(he's tried in the past) Its motivated him to be a good boy.
