My rooster is acting weird.

Hello everyone. I have a rooster that has been moving himself away from the rest of the flock (We have 1 other rooster and 6 hens) He won't go near them and waits until they are all inside the coop at night to go in himself. Even when I give them bread (which they go absoluetly crazy over) He dosen't even walk towards my way. I tried to throw some bread towards his way so the chickens would go near him and he ran away into the road. It started happening only the other day. Can anyone help? Thanks

See if he keeps up with this. Did you notice anything else wrong with him like off besides that before this. Is he a nice rooster or mean one or middle.

Sounds like my 2 youngest hens. They live with the rest of the flock but are always by themselves alone.

I suspect your other rooster has read him the riot act and he still has to work out his place in the flock. Don't worry about it. Give it time.

Other than attacking the hens once in awhile, he is not that aggressive. The other day, our other rooster attacked him once or twice. I picked him up and tried to put them near each other but he ran away. I think he is more scared of the rooster than the other chickens.

He has been fine/accepted by the flock and was at the top of the pecking order. The other day, our other roo started attacking him and now he wont go near them.

It sounds like the other rooster won the rights to the hens and he’s been voted out. You should probably rehome him. he will try to mate with the hens but they won’t accept him and the other rooster might attack him if he keeps trying.
