My Rooster is depressed and embarrassed

Pecker is a all new Roo. Its hard to believe his new attitude. He reminds me of Rico Suave with hens with his smooth dance move. Its like he hypnotizing the ladies. They watch him strut his stuff then all of the sudden they squat right down for him. (Reminds me of myself with ladies during my college years). To bad I cant keep him.I will miss him.If there is anyone who lives between San Jose and Placerville Ca. that would like a beautiful Easter Egg Rooster.I will deliver to good home.

I think he was watching to much TV and thought he was Harvey Weinstein.Ashley had to remind him girls dont like to be forced to do things.I guess in the end he figured out you will get more bees with honey.

Too funny!

I have a young Roo that has started to jump the hens, and a few of the more mature ladies have put Baby Roo in his place as well, maybe not quite as dramatic, but the end result was the same. For about a week he was quiet and minded his own business. Then he started chasing and jumping hens again, but I noticed he just chases after the younger ones now. The older hens only have to give him a look, and he changes direction, avoids them completely. It is entertaining, and interesting to see how things play out. Now my older Roo has learned to woo the ladies by bringing them their favorite treats, before he jumps them. I suspect our Baby Roo's will learn the technique of wooing the ladies all in good time.

That's the way it is with a lot of animals, the young males get too full of themselves, they are put in their place by an older female and then they learn how to flirt and make the girls happy.

Someone I know said that they used to take all of their stallions when they were 2 years old and put them in a field with a neighbor's pregnant plow horse mares, the girls were NOT in the mood and a young stallion isn't going to be able to manhandle and force himself on a mare 2-3 times his size, so they learn to be polite around the girls, not just come charging in and wham bam thank you ma'am.
