My rooster, Tubbers is breathing really loud. He breathes in very hard, then on exhale he is making a whining sound. His color is good and is acting completely normal. It seems to have not affected his eating because he chowed down when I fed him. And he has no problem with a treat of grapes. He is a large black cochin and is in his winter quarters right now (large dog crate in barn with our other roosters). Do you think he may have inhaled some straw? Not sure what to do and I am thinking about calling the vet. Didn't know if his large size could have anything to do with his breathing.
Suggestions anyone?
