My rooster is sleeping (dozing on and Off) in the daytime? Is he sick

I have a British sussex. He appears okay ....except he's standing and dozing on and off today....never noticed daytime napping in any of the roosters?

Is he sick?

He 'probably' is not feeling well. Now you need to know if its just something little or if he gets sicker or if he has other symptoms.

Where do you live? Is it hot?

Actually it's a moderate day - about 80 degree high and low of about 60 degrees.

I gave him some tomatoe bits and he began walking around the pen looking for a few bits of them. He seems a little better.

He's under close watch. I'll keep you all posted. Thanks.
