My rooster is starting to become aggressive.

I have been having similar problems. You MUST always show you are boss to the rooster. Have an aggressive stance when he is around. Stair him down, stomp at him if he tries anything. But again it will only work so long or if you let your guard down for even a minute he will go on the attack. My very handsome rooster (Richard) attacked my wife the other day. He sure was tasty. I think its best to keep the rooster around until he gets too comfortable then take him out. Replace with a new one and repeat. I have herd that if you raise the rooster from hatch and handle it often, make it very person friendly then there is a better chance of it being more friendly. Then again instinct is more powerful. Plain and simple from my experience when you have roosters you are going to have to deal with a certain level of aggression.

Do not let him puff up at you ever! You have to be the big dog 100% of the time or his little bird brain will still think one of these days I will be dominate over them. I like my roo's and have 4 of them but they aren't lap chickens.I make it a point to walk thru them on a regular basis. No yelling or aggression just like they don't exist < I'm going over there and you will move out of my way. I watch them but don't acknowledge them just go.If they don't move I just walk into them till they do. By the time they are a few weeks old they know the routine and move and know I'm no threat just the boss.
