My rooster is very mean

Hi I have a rooster that likes to attack me but I would stand up to him and try and show him that I was the boss but this time he was not wanting to back down he was jumping at me and then I grabbed a stick to kinda push him lightly but he started pecking at the stick What should I do

So many will say kill, if you dont want to make avseperation pen for him, a mini run where you can care for him from afar and you can still enjoy your hens

If a rooster isn't backing down,he won't until you scare him, I don't believe in violence like kicking or sticks (unless to protect self)

When I had mean roosters I used the hose or a high squirting water gun, they hate it, run and soon will fear just tge site of it , you usually only have to use it once to create the fear and bring it out when poor behaviour starts

Keep in mind this is my opinion and experience only
And I did cull my mean roosters eventually it was too stressful and now I have sweet boys who I hand feed and only need to snap my fingers to stop rowdiness

Look up beekissed's article about retraining nasty roosters, it's very good. you may not be able to reform this one, but her advice will help in the future.
