My Rooster saga

If he is doing the above,it’s only natural for a rooster to chase and grab hens,if he isn’t causing any blood she’d he is fine.
He was injuring them with his spurs but I de-spurred him and the spurs seem better for the other hens, although one hen is bareback. But after he mated one today, he flew at the other feet first, she was in submissive position but then ran as he started attacking her.

I know you don't want to, but if he's mistreating your hens he probably needs to go. At the very least I would keep him separated from them. You could maybe try again when the other six are adults, but I would make sure they're mature and ready to be mated before you try to re-introduce him. 9-1 is a much better ratio than 3-1, that may help some.

What would make him attack her, that is what I don't get? They were raised together and from the same hatch. Yeah I'm at a loss of what to do. I bought an anklet for him but it was the wrong size, one that I could tether him outside. I reordered but it's not here yet.

Certain personality’s of birds clash.I had a hen who was just bad attitude,my rooster use and his sons obviously have a problem with her and was something about her.Adventually the behavior calmed down but that’s just it,some birds don’t like others.

I did a google search and other people have had the same issue with one hen being attacked because the rooster didn't like her. :( That is just so backwards..nature-wise, in my opinion.
I don't like the thought of my hen being bullied and being scared all the time.

A mature rooster shouldn't be attacking your hens, my rooster will sometimes chase and circle the hens which is normal but he would never attack them. Obviously he's a jerk rooster if he is pulling out their feathers and hurting them. My hens trust my rooster and follow him everywhere he goes. If yours are terrified of him then I would right away separate him.
