This is my rooster. I bought him as a possible pullet he turned out being male so I decided to keep him. He’s very flighty and only crows early in the morning and in the afternoon. He has a high pitched crow. The store labeled him as an ameraucana, but I believe him to be a EE.

Very nice rooster there. If he flies over too many fences or gets himself lost frequently because of his flying tendencies, you can try to trim his wing feathers. We trim ours every so often, about an inch from the wing skin. It looks ugly at first, but will look better in about a week and he can’t get enough lift to fly anymore.

Trimmed his wings the first time he showed signs of taking flight. He flew over to my neighbor’s house and I would have lost him. Thankfuly my neighbors dogs weren’t out.

Lol. We’ve had our fair share of run-ins with dogs. They didn’t turn out too pretty, but glad yours was ok.
