I have 5 bantams 3 of which are roos I have kept my new ones separate from the ones I have already. I have tried to let the new ones in the coop but the roos keep attacking the new ones .I really do not want to build a new coop for two chickens is there any thing I can do?

We were able to split my old coop and outdoor run with chicken wire to make separate areas until a peaceful integration could place. I don't know about roos, but a separation was absolutely necesary for my hens to ensure the safety of the new comers. I heard many horror stories about established hens and flocks killing the new ones, especially if there are of different ages and sizes.

Good luck. It was worth a few dollars to split the coop.
