Do you know how they get this way? Is it some mutation or recessive gene? There aren't any others with that coloring at my area nor has there been since I had him.

I call the drake a Lavender Barred Pied lol. Could also just be a Lavender Pied...but I see barring in his feathers. What gets them this way is Genetics...other than that I can dive deeper into that subject as I don't know what makes things this and that.
