My Sebastopols Hatched!

Yes, you are correct but they are significantly lighter than the females which seem to hatch the dark grey over their backs and heads. But I have a white/splash in my flock and this year I am hatching some that are all grey...lol, I am excited to see what they look like when grown

Again, vent-sexing is the only sure way to sex them and even then you might get one wrong. Even hatcheries don't guarantee their sexing capabilities....lol

Another thing - even if you see one mount another, don't just assume you have a boy. I have seen flocks where there were no males present and the dominant female would mount her flock-mates and act like she was mating them....
 
Color is always a guessing game isn't it?
I like to post all possibilities on any given subject because there are so many newbies around here.
It gets confusing sometime.
Now that I have colored Sebs as well I've entered a whole new realm of confusion.
