My Semi-Broody Lady

LOL!
My cochin went "semi-broody", too. When I went in to collect eggs each afternoon, she was there, but once I booted her out (narrow nestbox), she didn't go back in. But, Cochins are prone to broodiness.

Got on right now, third time in less than a year. If I put some fertile eggs under her after she has been broody for like 5 days, will she still sit for three weeks and hatch them out?

Usually after 5 days waiting for fertile eggs, broodies will still sit for the whole three weeks. Do the mite powder thing as mites are a reason to walk off the nest.

I read recently, maybe on here, that you can break a broody by feeding it an eighth of an aspirin, for what it's worth.
