Below are my 2 Serama chicks at 19 days old. I took them outside to take some pictures and they enjoyed it so much I let them stay outside in a little cage on the back porch until it began to cool down this evening. They are so sweet. I've been practicing making them pose. I'm not sure if I'm doing it right but they have the cutest perky personality and tend to be upright most of the time when not pigging out. They are still very small, I am really curious about what they will be like when they're grown.
I bought the hatching eggs from my neighbor, who is a fellow BYC member, Judy McKinney. She bought her original eggs from another member here but I don't know who it is......if you're reading this let me know who you are
I have more eggs in the incubator to hatch Wednesday too and of 8 eggs set, 5 were fertile and looking good so I'm really hoping they all hatch. Once they are all more mature, I will decide if the hens of this group are nicer or the roosters and will be looking to do some trading or buying to have 1 trio.
Here are my babies, I'd appreciate any critique on their qualities and I'll be asking for more critiques as they mature so I'll be keeping the better quality chicks, I still have a lot to learn.
