It looks hideous. I want it to look nice. Any ideas how a bulky sewing machine on a small table can look half way decent in a corner? My only storage is a rubbermaid plastic tub that is not at all flattering.

How about making a quilt cover kind of like the covers they used to have in the 50's for kitchen appliances. Easy to take on and off and you can make it out of colors to match your decor.

Yeah pictures would help. I've got a bookshelf that has a curtain over the front of it to hide my mess. Also I have those plastic bins that have drawers to try to keep things neat. I share my sewing room with drying laundry hanging from clotheslines strung wall to wall. (we don't have a dryer)

I suggest you check craigslist for a table or the local thrift store. We found 3 chairs at the local thrift store. A nice toddler bed and twin mattress set on craigs. Find a nice desk and a can of black spray paint and your in business. My wife sews professionally so I know about these things. Auctions maybe if they are in your area. Two stacks of painted cinder blocks w/ a nice piece of finished shelving stretched acrossed them would look nice too. Google "shabby chic" and your sure to find something. Google home made desks or table ideas and your sure to find something. A nice painted thrift store chair w/ new padded seat would be good too. My wifes is just that. I covered it with a piece of upohstry fabic stapled to the seat and bingo. Looks good.
