So it went from a shed that was rotting in a few places, I was about to rip it down.. to a beautiful home for my chickens. Replaced some wood, built a door.. when its cold i will be screwing a piece of wood ovee the screen on the door.

Also made the window in the front (this one doesnt open) that way in colder months it will let the sun in during the day for some warmth. I also made some windows on the side that I can close when need be but it gives great ventilation for a nice cross breeze. Made a window box which the flowers are huge now (yay)

Im happy with it, i think it looks adorable :)

That is so cute! I told my hubby I wanted a window and window box. The roof has panels that give light, though, so maybe next year. I keep a folding chair next to my run, too, like you have by the coop.

Oh it was easy to do, you might be able to do it without hubbys help. And if nothing else, just make or buy a window box, add it and maybe your hubby will catch the hint hehehe

And yes we sit and watch/talk to them while they peck our hands off for their hentastic treats lol i have some girls who are gentle and wow some wanna take your hands too lol

Well the one side that is visible is made of the logs that were used to build the house and are very thick. The coop is attached to the other side. I’ll pretty it up some day. This is my first flock. I don’t feed from my hand anymore. Yikes! Dinosaurs!
