My silent rooster.

This is my only chicken so far. He is two years old and never crows, nor bothers hens and eats practically nothing.

This spring he will be joined by more active chickens.
Can anyone tell me what breed he is based on?

i usally give them a second chance to redeem themselves buy third time i usally find them a new home in the freezer

you did wonderfully by the way i wish i was that talented.. my brother inhearited the artistic hand in the family and he doesnt use it, i hate it!!!! hes amazing!!!

Welsummer was my guess, too.

love it! Welsummer because of the yellow legs. Otherwise he does resemble a Black Copper Marans (though not the french standard ie: feathered feet)
