Hi I have a 5 month old silki who started sitting down alot. She now cant stand up so I have her in a box in my front room. she seems normal just cant stand. She is eating and drinking and clucks every now and then. Her legs are out infront of her and she can move them when i pick her up. She cant stand at all what do I do???

post this in emergency and diseases.. they will help you..change the title to help.. she has a disease that meds can help but you need to ask what is the med. i wouldn't wait

It sounds like it might be Marek's disease. Not a good thing...

Happened to a bird we had and people said Mareks although never proven. I ended up breaking her neck because her breathing got horrible. She's stop breathing for about 5-8 seconds and then weeze, just to stop all over again.
