I have a batch of 22 eggs in the incubator- Welsummer, RIR, and Silkies. I put them in late in the evening on the 8th, so I figured they'd be hatching this Thurs evening or Friday. Well, yesterday afternoon I heard a little peep so I checked the eggs and a Silkie had pipped. Not an hour later, we heard all sorts of peeping, so I checked again, and the joker was running around all over the place! Holy cow!! That was the quickest entrance I'd ever seen, not to mentioned a couple days early! None of the other eggs are even pipped yet. He just couldn't wait to come out and play, I guess!
