At first I took out the chickens and she ran out with all of them like normal and started scratching the ground and pecking around as usual. After a while she went back inside and when I checked up on her she was just laying in a corner with her eggs and two other stolen eggs. She was sitting there on top of them and when I tried to see the eggs she pecked at me which she never does so I was sure she went broody. I left her there and went to check up on her after about 4-5 hours later to see that she was back with the other chickens. She left the eggs and just went to do normal chicken things. I thought it was challenging to get hens out of broodiness so what is going on?
Ok that sounds very good.It sounds like she’s in the beginning stages of getting serious. I would collect the eggs everyday and wait for when she sits on the eggs all day long and really seems committed. Then you can give her eggs that will all develop and hatch around the same time.
