I came out to feed them this morning and she like staggered out of the coop, like she was drunk, but she never lifted her body as she staggered. Then she was like falling over. The roo came over got on top of her and after that another hen came over and startred pecking her head.I brought her inside, but she wont eat or drink.HELP,I love my babies,I just lost a kitty 2 weeks ago,I dont want to lose her.Her name is maryann and she is 7 months old.

Put her in a nice warm dark spot. You can give her some Poly Vi-Sol (no iron). A couple of drops in the beak. You will need to give her water by hand if she will not drink.

Try boiling or scrambling her some eggs. Peanut butter also has a lot of protein in it. Do you have any ACV (Organic Apple Cider Vinegar with the mother)?

Check for mites and lice. They can kill a chicken relatively fast. You'll notice them more around the vent and head area, so check there first.

thanks, but she's eating the corn now.She just can't get up and walk, should give her like a flea bath or something?I dont have much around for the chickens, although i do have kitty formula powder.Would that help.

Hey Everyone,

My sweet girl is eating(she like sweet potatoes from dinner),and shes drinking,But she is really lethargic. She looks like she keeps slipping off,but then moves her head again.I am really sad about her feeling bad and not knowing why.My vet doesn't do "farm animals".

try making her a thin gruel of oatmeal, or instant baby oatmeal, that will give her a little energy- so she is slipping in and out? is it possible she had a head injury?
