House chickens? Interesting. I had all 28 of my original babies in the living room for a month and a half while we were building their coop. We would have them running about and sitting them in our laps (I wanted friendly chickens).
How do you contain the mess? I don't think I'd mind Alice in the house, she a bit of a runt compared to the rest of them. And not big on roosting.

I only have 2 inside and they are small Bantams. We have wood floors so clean up is simple. They get outside a lot and believe it or not....they are becoming creatures of habit and poop in the same areas. They do make chicken diapers but haven't tried them.
