Her name is Janet. My rooster is named Jack, and the other hen is Chrissy. Like from Three's Company. I guess I should go take pictures of her. They lay OK, but they are known for being the best sitter of eggs. When I was a kid I had two silkie hens, Lavern & Shirley, that sat on all the eggs I hatched out. One year they both sat for 6 months! I would just keep taking the eggs from them and putting new eggs under them.
I did let them raise the last batch. They must have thought, What is wrong with these eggs!! It didn't take this long the last time!!
They are great pets, I just love mine. Check them for mites. They are more apt to have mites than other breeds. I dust mine with sevin dust. Here they are:
Janet is the bigger hen and I'm sure you can tell which one's Jack.
I have some blue and some black silkies in the bator. Some may be frizzled too. I can't wait to see them Hope they hatch. This is my first time hatching chicks. You have some beautiful birds. I want some white ones now.
