My silkie roosters gettin bossed around by cochin hens!

Theyre pecking at him and hes not trying to mate them. Also I bought a silkie hen a few days ago and he said shes a year old. You can fit 3 fingers between her pelvic bones, why isnt she laying?

How old is the rooster, and how long have you had him. Whenever hens are relocated they may initially lay an egg or two (those that were in production) and then they take a break because of the stress caused by a change in environment.

The rooster is a year old, i've had him 2 days.

Didn't you quarantinevhim? It's normal pecking order stuff that he is facing. The hens are trying to subordinate him. Be careful that they do not injure him.
