Hi All!
I hatched a few silkies last year and only 3 made it. 2 ended up being roosters, and one a hen (I believe). They all hatched at the same time and the 2 roosters have matured and got their tail feathers and their cock-a-doodle-do's lol, so I assume the other is a hen as she doesn't have either. They have all lived in harmony with one rooster establishing dominance, and they're both really protective over the hen (Tina). I've been waiting for her to start laying, as she would be about 8/9 months old now. Recently, we've found a few small light pink-ish eggs in their run. Just wondering if these might be hers, or if they are our guinea fowls who also get into the run? Tina also charged at me for the first time this morning... This is the first agression she's every shown. Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this, and what I should do?
Fairly new to chickens.
TIA
