My Silkie Was Killed

Early in the week I lost my very first Silkie Rooster to a neighbors dog.. I am sooo angry at my neighbor but I am new to the area so I am really trying to be a good girl and not cause any problems... I am planning to build an enclosure to keep them safe from predators in the future its just been difficult to get everything ready and built.. I somewhat blame myself for what has happened. I really really liked him! Does anyone know if anyone has a silkie they would be willing to sell? I want another sweet bird. He was my baby!

People need to keep their dogs in their own yards!!!!!!!!! I would be SO mad!!

I think I've seen Amber wave hatchery trying to give away silkie roosters. Try there. Sorry you lost your rooster. Maybe you could get a dog proof fence or electric fence to deter the dog before getting more chickens.
