I was so excited to see one of my eggs had pipped today, I noticed this at 730am, the cute little babe was unzipping and out by about 1pm! Now she is resting and is still a little connected to part of the shell, but I’m sure she will work it out, she looks very healthy. My question is, none of the other eggs have pipped yet, I have 6 others. They are on day 20 right now so she was a little early. I realize she has to dry and everything, but my plan wasn’t to just leave all in there until everyone has hatched, to ensure no humidity is lost etc. but what if they others take another day or two, would she be ok? Any advice is welcome, this is my first time!

Congrats! My first hatch just happened a day ago I left the first one in for about 16 hours and by then 3 others had hatched so I moved them all into the brooder with no problems with humidity it went down to about 55 but came back up once the lid was back on.

You can leave the chick in there for a day without incident but it's better to pop them out when dry. You can have a warm spray bottle handy, give the eggs a lil spray then close it up and the humidity will pop right back up in about a minute.

Ok thank you both. Should I be worried that this one has hatched and none of the others have pipped yet? It seems weird this little one is so far ahead, I expected to see another pip by now....
