My Silkies Are Not Laying??

I have 5 silkies 4 are hens but they are not laying. I have a heat lamp in there and a timer for the light i got nesting boxes but they don't lay eggs. I got them 3 weeks ago from someone named Jazmine and they were laying for her, but not me :( Help!!

Need a LOT more info... how old are they? We do you have a heat lamp in the nesting box? Laying hens don’t need heat. It may be that they haven’t recovered from the move yet; silkies are not known for laying copious amounts of eggs. I would give it a few more weeks and let them settle into their new home. Also check for hidden nests; they may be picky and don’t like the nesting box you made and are nesting somewhere else.
 
It can take a few weeks for Chickens to start laying again after the stress of moving. I wouldn’t be surprised if they start laying again in the next few days/weeks. The change in scenery, feed, nesting/roosting area, environment, can all be causes of stress in newly moved chickens. I would worry and just enjoy your cute new fluff balls of joy 😊
 
.... also, where are you located? They shouldn’t need a light right now either... that may actually be messing up their normal laying cycle, as their cycles are dictated by the length of days aka amount of sunlight

All about a year old. I don't i have a Heat lamp in there, i also have a light, and nesting boxes. I did.
