My own first silky babies were born yesterday. I have three now and a 4th on the way. My buff tail banty was my broody for 4 eggs and have 5 more in bator due on the 27th.
Here is a video on the first one hatching, it's so funny where he couldn't get his head out.
I hope this works.
Here is my little gang and the last little struggler. He had to have some help this morning. The hen had pushed the egg aside and it was in a messy poo and had gotten cold. I open him at the big end and he had tried to pip from inside but not the shell. That's why I put him in incubator to warm up. Seems to be doing fine now, moving around and chirping.
Thank you everyone. Here is my pic's of the last one and the gang. Hope I'm not wearing this out but I'm am proud as can be on my first Silkie hatch. Now let's hope the 6 in the bator comes through on the 27th.
