My silkies

Could someone ease my mind about the little fella in this pic? Bought it as a splash hen.

also a question about the little black one in picture 3 in the back. Think female. The other pics are just of my other silkies. The white male was bought younger and ended up having a straight comb so he must be mixed somewhere.. enjoy!

The top one looks like a splash hen to me.

The black one looks like it could be a rooster (the comb is too big for a hen).

My white silkie is a Naked-neck, which I think has genes from the turken in it. Yours may have those genes in him as well and that is why he has that comb.


Best of luck with your silkies! Again, they are very nice looking.


(My silkies, including a Naked-neck rooster with his blue rooster friend. The two get along well. I don't think I've ever seen them argue)

In picture three, the black one that is right up at the camera is a rooster for sure. I meant the one in the very back that is cuddled up to the little splash one
